Overview

Welcome to the beautiful Dolomites. The ride starts in the charming village of Ravascletto and takes you in a westerly direction towards the epic mountains known as the Dolomites. This is an extraordinary ride for the cyclist who likes to challenge himself. The first two nights will be spent at the Dolomilit Village Alpine Chalets and the following nights will be spent from point to point.

The tour offers excellent hotels, most of which include massage and spa services that can be booked to complement the tour. Each hotel offers something special about their region and are well equipped to cater for cyclists.

Dinner in local restaurants every night and at your hotel on the more demanding days on the road. For lunch, a picnic lunch will be prepared with plenty of carbohydrates and fuel to keep your legs moving. On quieter days or in the event of bad weather, cafeteria alternatives will be used. Breakfast is served each morning at the hotel.

The Route

DAY 1 – WELCOME TO DOLOMITES

PICK UP AND TRANSFER TO REVASCLETTO.

The first service consists of transferring all our clients from Venice airport to Revascletto. The transfer takes 2 hours by van.

After arrival at the hotel we will offer a briefing with general information about the tour before proceeding to the set-up and adjustment of the bikes. In case there is time, we will do a ride to get your legs moving and ready for the adventure.

We will end the first day of the trip with a fantastic welcoming dinner in the hotel, with the whole team.

DAY 2 – STAGE 1 (ZONCOLAN + MONTE CROCE)
77km 2.500m+

Welcome to Italy! The tour starts at the first hotel with a light lunch. After tidying up, the riders head out for a warm-up ride to make sure everything is ready for the week ahead. The Zoncolan is an epic 10.8km climb with an average gradient of 11.7% and a maximum of 23.3%. After reaching the top of the Zoncolan, we will gather the group to make the descent together and head to the Monte Croce summit which borders Austria.

Work done for stage 1. Shower, drinks and spare time are waiting for you at the hotel.

DAY 3 – STAGE 2 (SELLA DI RAZZO + TRE CIME DI LAVADERO)
110km 3.200m+

Stage 2 is the queen stage of the Tans Dolomite Tour with 110km and 3,200m of elevation gain. It starts with a long and progressive climb to reach the summit of Passo Sella di Razzo.

Take your time at the top to refresh and recover, as well as to enjoy the scenery and the mountains so characteristic of the Dolomites. The descent is a great time to contemplate nature. It is easy and pleasant, with a handful of technical U-turns.

You then begin the approach through a valley to Le tre Cime di Lavadero. After 15km, the first part of the climb starts with about 6km at 7% gradient, after which there is a short break to tackle the Tre Cime di Lavadero with motivation and energy. Arriving at an altitude of 2,300m and ready to make the descent to Cortina d'Ampezzo where the hotel awaits us.

Work done for stage 2. Shower, spare time and drinks are waiting for you at the hotel.

DAY 4 – STAGE 3 (PASSO VALPAROLA + PASSO GARDENA + PASSO SELLA)
78km 2.170m+

The Passo Valparola is famous for its length and the numerous times that the Giro d'Italia has passed through this location, which found Vincenso Nibali with the best time of the ascent. In this pass we see a HC, with a distance of 17km and almost 1000m of gradient, with an average gradient of 5.7%.

As always, we then find a long descent, pleasant and with the asphalt in perfect condition, to enjoy the 360 views that the Tans Dolomites trip offers us.

At the end of the descent we will not have a break to face the last two climbs of the day, the first ascent with a length of 14km to reach the Passo Gardena and then a shorter one of 3.5km to finish the day.

Work completed for stage 3. Shower, drinks and media session await you at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

DAY 5 – STAGE 4 (PASSO COSTALUNGA - SAN VALENTINO)
53km 1.100m+

It has been a real pleasure to have you in the Dolomites. We are pleased to show you one of the best wonders of the world through its roads and along its valleys.

But to finish the adventure, a short stage with two very accessible passes to end with a good taste in your mouth. The Passo de Costalunga and the climb to the town of San Valentino, to descend towards Bolzano and end the trip with a good feeling.

Once we arrive in Bolzano, transfer to the airport by van. The journey takes about 3 hours.

We encourage you to come back for any of the available tours. Our team is ready to share with you new good moments and make your stay the cycling experience of your life.
